Reading Journal Questions
1.
One thing I've learned in the HELP
program is related to enhancing knowledge about rate reading techniques and improve skills
to increase the reading rate.
2.
Overall, I've could improve my listening and expand my
vocabu lary, because having continuous
contact with other people who speak English, it significantly helps me to be
more fluid and feel confidence. It has been very interesting for me, because
also I've known about habits and recipes from other countries,
because I'm sharing space with other students in the dorms
in the university of Hawaii's campus.
3.
I think, depending on what you will learn and
the way that makes it easy to learn, also it depends on the techniques or
strategies, for example; for me it is easier to learn in practice or classroom.
Actually, it is difficult for me the techniques
about self-taught, so I prefer to submit to class schedules. Therefore for me it is difficult to conceive
that sometimes focus only teaching master classes, where for example there is
no discussion of issues. In conclusion, I think, with exception of learning another language,
it requires a mix of learning types for each skil (speaking, listening,
writing, reading).
4.
We
need to learn strategies, because it is important to save time in reading, to
identify main ideas, understand the texts for further analysis and thus also to
draw our own conclusions.
